Islamabad, 1st June,
2009 Mr. Zafar M. Shaikh, Director General, Central Directorate of
National Savings has inaugurated a new entirely automated National
Savings Centre on 1st June, 2009 at Adyala Road, Near Munawar
Colony, Rawalpindi for facilitation/ easy approach regarding
investment in the National Savings Centre of the inhabitants of
that areas.
While addressing the inauguration ceremony Director General,
National Savings devised future plan regarding uplifting of
National Savings. He further expressed that the Network of
National Savings is being expended. All the Savings Centres will
be automated because PC-I has already approved by the Ministry and
28 Centres are on pilot site for automation which will be further
expanded to 64 centres.
He further expressed that 80% of National Savings Centres are
shifted to spacious new premises. National Savings has also put
the draw results on the web site. Now clients can easily check the
prize bonds on net. The annual target was fixed Rs.150 billion
which has not only been achieved but also surpassed by Rs.86
billion.
